Weekend Companion London

A weekend companion booking arranges a Her Secret Society companion for a forty-eight or seventy-two hour engagement, either based in London or travelling with the client elsewhere.

A weekend companion booking is the longest-form of our regular engagements. The format covers two distinct scenarios. The first is a London-based weekend: the client and companion remain in central London across two or three days, typically at a hotel suite, with the time divided between dining, cultural engagements, and unstructured time in the suite or at a private residence. The second is travel-based: the booking begins in London and continues elsewhere (the south of France in summer, the Alps in winter, the Mediterranean by yacht, the East Coast of the United States, a specific overseas city for a specific reason). Both formats account for a substantial share of our highest-value bookings.

The London-based weekend takes on the rhythm of a short break taken together. The arrival is typically Friday afternoon or evening; the booking begins with a dinner at one of the Mayfair, Knightsbridge or Notting Hill destination restaurants; Saturday opens with a late breakfast in the suite, runs through whatever the client has planned for the day (a private view at Sotheby’s, an afternoon at Hyde Park, a long lunch in Chelsea, a walk through the V&A), and concludes with another dinner and an extended evening; Sunday is typically quieter, with departure mid-afternoon. The setting concentrates in the central premium hotel cluster: most weekend bookings take place at one of the Park Lane or Mayfair flagships (The Dorchester, 45 Park Lane, Claridge’s, The Connaught), the Hyde Park-facing suites at the Mandarin Oriental, or at a private residence in Belgravia, Chelsea or Holland Park.

The travel-based weekend follows a different rhythm. The companion travels with the client, typically by private aviation, to the destination of the booking. The booking continues for the agreed duration at the chosen venue (a hotel suite, a private residence, a yacht in the Mediterranean, a chalet in the Alps), and the companion returns with the client at the conclusion of the booking. International travel arrangements are handled discreetly and require longer notice than London-based bookings (we recommend a minimum of seven days for any international travel booking, longer for destinations outside Europe).

Practical detail. Weekend bookings require longer notice than single-day engagements (seventy-two hours minimum for a London-based weekend, seven days for international travel), are negotiated as a single quote rather than the sum of the individual hourly rates, and typically include a discount on the equivalent hourly rate to reflect the time commitment. Specifics (the venue, the duration, any travel arrangements, dietary or wardrobe requirements) should be communicated at the booking stage; the more detail provided, the more accurately we can arrange the booking.

The match between client and companion is the foundation of any successful weekend booking. For first-time clients considering a weekend engagement, we strongly recommend a shorter introductory booking (typically a dinner date or three to four hour GFE booking) before committing to a weekend or longer engagement. The match is the difference between a booking that delivers what it should and one that does not, and a shorter first booking gives both parties the opportunity to ensure the fit is right before a longer commitment.
